★ Worlds ★
Know The Lemniscate, a universe of worlds. The worlds are its Layers, 'flowing' in the shape of the infinity symbol (a lemniscate). The Layers are flat like papers, not spherical like planets. The first Layer you see is Yellowfield, a field of rapeseeds. In between all Layers lies the mysterious and mystical Infinite Gap. The Lemniscate may perform Alterations upon its Layers (on the rare times it wishes to), changing its contents, leading to an infinite variety of timelines and realms. Change of scene, change of life, change of memories. Are places important to you? Is your Self important to you?
Although places cannot be saved, there are ways to save your Self and remain unaltered (if you want), but this secret is known to only very few people. Who would know? Is it someone here or someone out there? How does one get around? To travel the world, you need to use feet, bikes, cars, trains, planes... We know this. What if it is someone from another world though, another Layer? How does one get out? To travel to another world, you need to know the Underground Passage or take the more popular choice: portals. Whatever you choose, this is called 'inter-dimensional travel' and not everyone can do it. Some even question if it is worth it. Maybe you're unknowingly but comfortably trapped in here. You've survived this long, so just sit back and continue with life. It's not like there was a life you've forgotten... The Lemniscate has a lot of worlds within it, but below are some basic info on the prominent ones. |
(neo-)Sigma
Despite the realm's official name, many just refer to it as 'Sigma'. Stylised as 'neo-Σigma', this is the Layer (or realm) that is the liveliest and most modernised. Neo-Sigma looks similar to this world we're in, Earth. It has its prosperous side and its dark side which comes with an underworld. The people are xenophobic, full of distrust, and nightlife is almost always since the realm is very lacking in sunlight.

OVERVIEW
Neo-Sigma was known as just Sigma back in its old days. It earned the neo- prefix upon an historical event, The Migration which brought in people from its neighbouring realm (Nexus), causing the Sigma Government to amend their rules and regulations slightly due to this new diversity in its citizens. Neo-Sigma has 2 main districts: The Capital District (where life is great) and the Outer Districts. The Outer Districts consist of four: the northern (industrial), western (shady side), southern (artisans), eastern (Capital's best friend). RULES & REGULATIONS Most of them are normal ones we'd hear of, but there are some that's unique to the realm. These unique rules are enforced by the government's Special Unit (a subdivision of the police force). Anyone caught violating these rules were once executed without any trial, but now the Government has ordered the Special Unit to first observe them, then arrest them if suspicions are most likely true. Afterwards, interrogate, go for trial, and the judge will pass the sentence. The trial is just for formality's sake though, as the punishment remains a death sentence almost all the time.

The Principality
The Principality is a mildly post-apocalyptic realm with aesthetics inspired by old towns of Spain and Catalonia. The Schools that govern the realm look like University of Barcelona. The realm is in one of the possible future timelines of neo-Sigma, branching off from the current one the moment one Místic decides to commit genocide against the Sigma Humans. The realm is prospering with a change of environment from Sigma to one that resembles that of Nexus (Old World), and with a new style of ruling.

OVERVIEW
Fed up with Nexus people constantly being grief-stricken and mistreated (and some committed suicide), a Místic named Thomas Robinson committed genocide against the Sigma humans, but spared those under Alex's wings... and only those because Thomas owed Alex for saving his life. The rest of the human population died from water poisoning and Crimson Angel eateries turned into shelter homes for the remaining humans that were spared. Any human who leaves (or are never even from) the Shelter will be considered a 'free human' and will be shot on sight. After Alex's passing, the Shelters were passed down to Sam Thatcher. Neo-Sigma soon become a second Nexus, but one that is unnatural. Místics are supposed to be the least in any population, yet they are the most by a tenfold. This one abnormality altered the energy of the realm as a whole. Magic was slowly being able to be used, being not as taxing on the caster as before; and the realm has more greenery as the realm began having more sunshine, resulting in a cosier temperature, though the skies remained a very greyish shade of blue. While this looks like signs of life, to Sigma as a realm, it signs of its own death because Sigma is a naturally-cold and wintery place. The Principality, originally neo-Sigma, maintains the two main districts: The Capital District and the Outer Districts. A new feature is that they have two layers of cities -- Underground and Aboveground. Most of the Místic race live underground to give room for other races on the surface. The overseers of The Principality are two Gran Mestre, one from Aboveground (l'Escola de Màgia) and another from Underground, Thomas Robinson himself. REALM HIGHLIGHTS 1. The Governing Schools:
2. Cerimònia d'Agraïment: It translates to Appreciation Ceremony and is a two-day celebration in autumn where people from the Above- and Underground gives the leader (Gran Mestre) of the other city a token of their appreciation for freeing them from oppressive humans. The Gran Mestre of one city will sit upon an altar and citizens will line up to give them a gift. The gifts can be a tangible item like food and clothes; or intangible ones like services, good words, a joke, and such. |
THE OLD WORLD, NEXUS
Nexus is the oldest world in the Lemniscate. After the Great Catastrophe destroyed it, it became a dangerous realm. Now that it has calmed down, it is being monitored by RESET for re-habitability. This section will be updated once information has been approved for public release.

OVERVIEW:
Nexus is a medieval fantasy realm of peace, a contrast to its neighbour, Sigma. Nexus has large land and ocean area, with climates similar to Earth (except winter/tundra). It originally had only Nocturnals and Aquilas, with some few Místics lurking. The Aquilas fed on Nocturnals who fed on the flora and fauna around them which were somewhat cultivated by Místics. Life changed when some humans arrived by accident. At first, they were awed by the wonders of Nexus; but they became cautious when they were being hunted down as food by the Aquilas. They stumbled upon the Nocturnal colony and sought refuge there. The Nocturnals, though cautious, accepted them. As the humans stayed for generations, they grew independent and had fully adapted to life there. A handful of them even managed to learn some magic from the Místics. Being a realm of magic, Nexus people never did do any advances in science and thought of it as an unnecessary thing. Still, life was good. Then came The Great War because humans got cocky and forgot their roots. It was mainly a war waged by the humans against the Nocturnals. The Nocturnals lost their homes and were almost extinct. Nexus had many issues surrounding genocide and racism since then, but the reigning human monarch of the time (and also a benevolent dictator), Clara Alexandra spent her entire life working to restore the natural state of things, the one before humans ever came, and succeeded.
Many, many years later, the realm of Nexus was struck by The Great Catastrophe (much like a doomsday). The Government from the neighbouring realm of Sigma used their inter-realm transport, The Transit to save a (select) few people and brought them over to Sigma. Nexus folks were heartbroken, having to leave their homes and for some, their families. This was The Migration. Those who were left behind mostly died, but there were survivors. Soon enough, the original ecosystem of Nexus re-established itself, but the realm was declared as too dangerous, inhabitable, and was briefly sealed off by the Sigma Government. No one was to go in or out of Nexus anymore. Of course, after a while, it became unguarded, so anyone can cross (at their own risk). Still, Government kept a casual eye on it because they made a promise to the Nexus Immigrants that they would return them home once it was safe. Soon, Nexus calmed down and was being monitored by RESET for re-habitability once again. Under new management, RESET worked hard to venture to Nexus itself to determine the safety level and afterwards managed to fulfill the Government's promise to the Nexus people and successfully executed The Remigration Project. Now, all Nexus Immigrants have returned home. The returning Aquilas have returned to their flocks and nesting grounds in central Silverya; most of the Nocturnals have rejoined their colony down south in the Land of Night; the one remaining Místic has headed off to the cave region, Vista; and the humans remain in northern Silverya to rebuild their civilisation from scratch. There already seems to be friction between the Nocturnals (who stayed during The Great Catastrophe) and the returning humans; the former not wanting history to repeat itself... |
